My crafting story.....The first time I made something I was 8 years old (I'm sure I made things before that age, but that is the age it meant something). My Nana Edith showed my friend Kelly and me how to crochet and we both spent that summer making rope chains, then learned how to make a blanket. As I grew into a teenager I had put crochet work to the back burner for typical teenage things, then after graduating high school, I joined the service and then started a family. With the birth of my oldest, I found the love of crafting again with making her dresses and costumes. My kids always asked for very unique costumes and I was happy to oblige. Now they are not little kids anymore and starting their own families, and with that I found crafting to be an outlet for the empty nest.
